Dive Insight:
In Johanna Uurasjarvi, West Elm has found a like-minded designer who embraces the clean aesthetic of traditional Scandinavian design with an added artistic flair. And at Anthropologie, Uurasjarvi worked closely with West Elm president Jim Brett, who was merchandising chief there for a time.
“We had a powerful partnership and to have a chance to work with her again is an incredible opportunity for me, for West Elm, and for our customers,” Brett said in a statement. “She inspires like no one else.”
