Some 65% of consumers on mobile say mobile ads would lead them to visit a store, according to research by mobile marketing firm Fetch.

63% say they’re likely to click on an ad offering a coupon and 45% say they’d click on an ad pertaining to their location. A big 82% say they use their phones or tablets to search for items and check prices while they’re in a store. 56% would like to get push notices based on their preferences, 65% would like to see coupons on mobile while they’re in a store, and 64% want real-time customer service regardless of whether they’re shopping online or in the store.

For the report, Fetch surveyed more than 300 smartphone users in the U.S. and focused on attitudes and behavior regarding searching and buying pre-store, in-store, and post-store.

Consumers may be reluctant to complete their purchase via their mobile devices, but they are certainly using them to shop. Retailers should take advantage of this level of willingness to engage on smartphones inside and out of the store.
