The companies said that the partnership will enable brands to quickly and smoothly integrate into web-only, membership-based Jet, which is expected to shake up general-merchandise retail with its promise of low prices.
-
Jet’s plans are dependent on the kinds of logistical efficiencies provided by the likes of CommerceHub.
Dive Insight:
Part of Jet’s unique approach is its dynamic pricing model, which allows shoppers to save money by opting out of delivery speeds and other fulfillment options at times when they can be more patient or flexible to get their goods. That means that its software platform must be strong and nimble.
“We are extremely pleased to partner with CommerceHub,” Jet CEO Marc Lore said in a statement. “They have a proven technology platform and an outstanding reputation for providing critical channel integration to the leading brands and retailers. We are confident this partnership will enable more retail partners to grow and to profit.”
