Dive Insight:
With these acquisitions, Epicor is poised to flex some serious tech muscle for mid-sized and larger retail companies. Beauty and spa retailer Bluemercury already employs Epicor and ShopVisible systems and says it’s looking forward to what will come out of the merger.
"This move to a complete extended omni-channel cloud offering -- combining full support for traditional POS and mobile POS devices in physical stores, fully functioning website and consumer mobile devices, with real-time order management and integration to enterprise applications such as merchandising, sales audit and CRM -- all from a single vendor -- is extremely exciting," said Bluemercury founder Barry Beck said in a press release.
