Hosted weekly by Ingrid Milman Cordy, the new podcast will explore the human side of retail: the people behind brands, products and services, along with the people who purchase
Future Commerce, the retail media research startup focused on helping eCommerce businesses create strategic vision, announced today the launch of a new weekly podcast called Infinite Shelf, which will be hosted by Ingrid Milman Cordy, a veteran of digital commerce and digital marketing for numerous major brands and who currently serves as the Head of Digital and eCommerce for Nuun Hydration.
Infinite Shelf recognizes that digital media and eCommerce tactics and strategies are no longer confined to traditional eCommerce channels and direct-to-consumer. Digital now touches every aspect of retail through the growth of trends such as buy online/pickup in-store, in-store kiosks that use AR/VR, and other innovations. The weekly podcast will feature conversations with leading brands and pioneers in the industry and will explore new commerce opportunities and the challenges they bring.
The show's name, Infinite Shelf, acknowledges that while modern retail is often perceived as the convergence of goods and technology, people are at the center of all commerce activities. The infinite shelf evokes an infinite table where everyone -- brands, retailers, consumers -- are welcome and can commune around. Ms. Milman Cordy looks forward to welcoming founders and leaders of brands, including April Uchitel, Co-Founder at THE BOARD, Samantha de Castra, Social Media at Fenty Beauty, Madison Semarjian, Founder & CEO at The Mada App.
“I’m excited to interview people who have their fingers on the pulse of where commerce is going, and who don’t look at commerce through a binary lens of physical retail or digital. My guests will have tremendous insight into the lens of the consumer, and how they see brands,” said Ms. Milman Cordy.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ingrid into the Future Commerce media umbrella. There are too few women voices in our space, which is a shame because women like Ingrid have important perspectives to share. She’s one of the smartest people that I know, and I think it’s quite notable to hear from senior leadership of a brand that just completed a successful exit. Future Commerce listeners will not only be entertained by Infinite Shelf, but the insights and conversations could change the way we think about commerce,” said Phillip Jackson, founder and host of Future Commerce.
Infinite Shelf will be released each Tuesday and listeners can download it from FutureCommerce.fm.
