Dive Insight:
T.J. Maxx is getting children involved in helping children with an art contest. Supporting needy children, the Maxx Kids Art Contest asks children 14 and under to create artwork with the theme “What’s your favorite thing in the whole world?” for a chance to win a $250 savings bond and the opportunity to see their artwork appear on products sold at T.J. Maxx stores.
The chain will sell reusable bags featuring children’s artwork for $.99 to benefit Save the Children concurrent with the contest, which runs through July 11. This year’s submissions will be judged on originality, creativity, and adherence to the theme. The nation’s largest off-price retailer has supported Save the Children for 30 years.
