Hello readers! I'm happy to report that Retail Therapy is back!
And what better way to celebrate than with $15,000 sex toys, a Minnie Mouse Instagram, and Reese's Pieces stuffed with Reese's Peanut Butter Cups?
I'll repeat that last one again, in case you went into a blind chocolate haze: Reese's STUFFED with Reese's.
If there's anything better to welcome back Retail Therapy, I don't know what it is.
Pricey foreplay
It’s little secret that Gwyneth Paltrow has a lot of haters, and the most recent Goop e-commerce lifestyle site’s “sex issue” isn't helping her case. Beyond articles shaming conventional condoms and “super toxic” lube, the issue also provides a list of absurdly-expensive sex toys, including—wait for it—a $15,000 vibrator. The running cost of this “not-so-basic” sex life? Anywhere between $28,678.71 and $68,678.71, according to Mic.
Searching for something that fits
Amy Schumer voiced all the struggles non-size-0 girls sometimes face while shopping in her new video, the aptly-titled “Size 12.” From condescending store associates to unfashionable plus-size clothing, she parses through it all in her search for some clothes that actually fit.
Match made in food heaven
What if you could have Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Reese’s Pieces... at the SAME TIME?
Eater reported on Hershey’s hint at the new candy concoction, with a Facebook post alleging that the product will be available in July. No word yet from Hershey directly confirming the candy’s existence, only telling Eater to “keep watching.” And wishing. And waiting.
UPDATE: Hershey confirmed the existence of these magical cups o' chocolate in an email to BuzzFeed Friday morning. Rejoice!
Minnie, Minnie everywhere
It’s not just you. As Racked explains, partnerships featuring Mickey Mouse’s better half are now everywhere, from a clothing collaboration with Kohl’s to a makeup line with Sephora. It’s all being documented in the #MinnieStyle Instagram, the official account for “all things Minnie inspired,” which includes anything with dots, daisies, bows, and, of course, mouse ears.
