Home retailer Williams-Sonoma announced Wednesday the appointment of Day Kornbluth as president of West Elm.
Kornbluth most recently was the global brand president of Ralph Lauren Home. She will join the company on April 3 and report to Laura Alber, Williams-Sonoma president and CEO, according to a company press release.
“Day’s proven track-record and previous success growing home furnishing brands make her the ideal candidate to run the West Elm brand,” Alber said in a statement. “We are proud to welcome Day to the Williams-Sonoma, Inc. family, where her expertise growing brands through product and digital innovation will complement the existing leadership team and take West Elm to the next level.”
Kornbluth was previously the chief digital officer of Restoration Hardware and spent over six years at One Kings Lane in leadership roles, including as its chief merchandising officer, according to her LinkedIn profile.
The former president of West Elm, Alex Bellos, left that role in the fall of last year to become the co-CEO and board member of Food52, Schoolhouse and Dansk.
