Omni Retail Enterprises on Tuesday announced that the company named Jeff Haddox as its chief technology officer. Haddox will oversee all digital selling channels, infrastructure, enterprise project planning and data analytics for the company’s brands, according to information sent to Retail Dive.
Haddox most recently was the chief digital officer at online children’s apparel retailer RuffleButts. He previously worked in a variety of leadership roles for nearly 13 years at Pier 1, including as vice president of e-commerce, director of e-commerce customer experience and senior manager of e-commerce sales, per his LinkedIn page.
The Pier 1 brand is currently part of Omni’s portfolio, along with Dressbarn, Modell’s Sporting Goods, Stein Mart and Linens ‘N Things, among other brands.
“In today’s rapidly changing retail landscape, we have enhanced our team with a leader who clearly understands how consumers engage with brands digitally,” Omni CEO Sharon Leite said in a statement. “Jeff’s extensive experience in omnichannel strategy, analytics and innovation aligns perfectly with our mission of reimaginning Omni’s iconic brands for today’s consumer.”
Omni is a new company that recently launched after a group of investors that backed Retail Ecommerce Ventures acquired most of its assets. “The transaction that ceded the REV assets to Omni enabled REV to dissolve as an operating entity” without resorting to bankruptcy, the company said in May.
Omni is actively looking for new acquisitions and is currently in talks with other brands, a spokesperson previously confirmed with Retail Dive.
The company named Leite as its CEO in June. Leite came to the role from Ideal Image, where she was CEO. She also was the chief executive of The Vitamin Shoppe for nearly five years. Leite was also the executive vice president of sales, customer experience and real estate at Pier 1 for over eight years, per her LinkedIn.
