Dive Insight:
This shop is the newest incarnation of Nordstrom’s “The Corner.” The retailer launched the concept space in 2024 with a limited-time Bode apparel shop. Subsequent retail collaborations have included Nike, Skims, New Balance and Ugg.
The space also hosted a FIFA World Cup 2026 partnership with Adidas in June, and most recently featured a six-week U.S. Open x Polo Ralph Lauren collab, which ended its run in the space on Sept. 20.
This new collaboration is a departure for the department store and the space, however, in that it “features a curated assortment of gourmet pantry goods and hosting essentials at all price points,” per the release. While it’s not quite a food hall, the multibrand collection of nonperishables offers luxury-coded comestibles like candy from Swedish brand BonBon, small-batch jams from Amagansett, New York-based Jamagansett, hand-harvested sea salt from Oregon-based Jacobsen Salt Co. and cocktail mixers and garnishes from Miami-based Filthy Foods.
The Corner Market will also sell assorted home goods from its Nordstrom Made private label, as well as from upscale brands including Fredericks & Mae, Addison Ross London and Maegen.
It’s another way for the retailer to stretch its wings beyond its core offerings. Nordstrom’s New York City flagship store already has six restaurants and bars, and the location also offers shoe repair and piercing. Last year, Nordstrom New York promoted its services, which also include alterations and an interactive beauty floor, by launching the second part of its “Nordstrom for Everything New York” campaign in conjunction with grocery store Zabar’s, the American Museum of Natural History, filmmaker Spike Lee and others.
Since going private, Nordstrom no longer releases earnings reports. However, earlier this year the company reported that total sales rose 7% year over year in 2025 to almost $16 billion, with the highest comps in more than ten years.
