Crate and Barrel Holdings on Tuesday named Mike Brewer as its chief operating officer.
Brewer comes to the home retailer from Nike, where he spent 20 years in a variety of roles across sourcing, manufacturing and supply chain, most recently serving as the company’s vice president of global sourcing and manufacturing.
Brewer will oversee operations for Crate and Barrel’s entire portfolio, including its namesake Crate and Barrel, CB2, Crate and Kids and Hudson Grace.
Naming Brewer as COO is part of the company’s “ongoing efforts to evaluate and alter its structure in ways that help support overall growth,” per a press release.
"I look forward to the leadership and expertise Mike will bring to [the company] with his customer-centric and purpose-driven mindset," Janet Hayes, CEO of Crate and Barrel Holdings, said in a statement. "We are confident his experience will further our goals of operational excellence and elevate the modern shopping experience and products our customers turn to brands for."
In 2021, Crate and Barrel Holdings hired another former Nike executive to its team, Jason Booth, to serve as its chief technology officer.
Last year Crate and Barrel announced a number of executive promotions, including a senior vice president of the metaverse.
