Dive Insight:
Chana’s role at Gymshark helped the brand get to where it is today, according to the company.
“We don’t normally do public goodbyes, but sometimes it’s the right thing to do,” Gymshark’s LinkedIn post said. “Niran has played a huge part in the growth, development and culture of the Gymshark brand you see before you today ... He leaves an indelible footprint, and his legacy will live on here as we strive to become the most iconic British brand of all time.”
The latest executive change comes after Gymshark’s new chief financial officer, Mathew Dunn, started in January, according to LinkedIn. Dunn previously worked as CFO and COO at Asos, and replaced Gymshark’s CFO Philip Daw, who held the role since 2019. Additionally, Gymshark’s chief product officer, Danielle Petesic, stepped down from the executive position in April after about two years, per LinkedIn. The brand told Retail Dive that it will be searching for Petesic's successor.
The U.K.-based athleticwear brand in January laid off 65 employees in its Denver office in an effort to centralize its operations.
In October of last year, the direct-to-consumer brand opened its first permanent brick-and-mortar store on London’s Regent Street with an experiential focus.
