- DTC retailer Garnet Hill has opened its only full-price retail store at Legacy Place in Dedham, Massachusetts.
- The 4,200-square-foot store, which features women’s apparel and home textiles, is part of the 75-store shopping center that includes such retailers as West Elm, Kendra Scott, Aerie, Pure Barre, Apple, Anthropologie, L.L. Bean and Lululemon.
- In addition to the full-price store, Garnet Hill sells on its website as well as in one outlet store located in Franconia, New Hampshire.

The Dedham store will be “well-situated for both our core Garnet Hill customers and new customers alike,” according to Garnet Hill Brand Marketing Manager Wendy Thayer, who added that the store will be in the heart of the Boston metropolitan area with access to surrounding New England states.
The store was created in partnership with architecture, design and strategy firm Nelson Worldwide, as well as brand consultant Jonathan Taylor. Consistent with Garnet Hill’s heritage, the space incorporates natural design elements that serve as a canvas for the brand’s cashmere and linen and its signature prints, patterns and colors.
"Our new store embodies the essence of Garnet Hill, offering customers the opportunity to engage with our iconic products in a beautifully designed space and learn about our legacy and commitment to sustainability,” Connie Hallquist, president of Garnet Hill, said in a statement. “We look forward to our guests being able to touch and feel the incredible quality for themselves.”
Garnet Hill is a division of Qurate Retail, which also operates QVC, HSN, Ballard Designs, Frontgate and Grandin Road. Qurate last May sold off Zulily to Regent, a Los Angeles-based global investment firm. After rounds of layoffs, Zulily late last year announced it was going out of business with plans to liquidate.
In its most recent quarter Qurate reported that third-quarter revenue fell about 10% year over year to $2.5 billion. The company also turned a profit, with operating income of $151 million and net income of $1 million. Garnet Hill is housed within Qurate’s Cornerstone unit, which also includes Ballard Designs, Frontgate and Grandin Road. In the third quarter, Cornerstone saw revenue decline 13% year over year.
