Outfox Hospitality, parent company of Foxtrot Market and Dom’s Kitchen & Market, has named Rob Twyman as its CEO, effective March 11, according to a Tuesday press release.
He replaces Liz Williams, who has taken the CEO role at restaurant chain El Pollo Loco, as the head of day-to-day operations for Outfox, which formed in late November when Foxtrot and Dom’s merged. He will also manage the company’s growth across all of its current markets, which include the Austin,Texas, Dallas and Washington, D.C. areas, as well as Chicago — the city where both brands are headquartered.
“Rob is a visionary in the grocery retail space having transformed the consumer food and beverage supermarket experience for over three decades,” Dom’s Kitchen & Market Co-Founder Jay Owen said in a statement. “We are confident he is the right leader to guide Outfox Hospitality to new heights.”
Williams, who took over as CEO of Foxtrot in April 2023, brought experience in the QSR industry, including executive roles with Taco Bell. She will take over the top role at El Pollo Loco on March 11.
Twyman spent nearly three decades at grocer Whole Foods, most recently as executive vice president of global operations, according to his LinkedIn bio. He also served as a regional president with the company for more than seven years and in a variety of store leadership roles for more than 13 years.
His latest role was as CEO of nonprofit grocery company Daily Table.
Twyman has also served on the boards for a number of organizations, including sustainable farming firm Crop One Holdings and the California Grocers Association, as well as working as a consultant for CPG companies.
Foxtrot currently has more than 30 locations in the Chicago, Austin, Dallas and Washington, D.C., metropolitan areas. Dom’s, which was founded in 2021, operates exclusively in the Chicago area.
