Dive Brief:
- Forever 21 has partnered with Reebok on a limited-edition capsule fashion collection that launched on Thursday, the retailer announced via email to Retail Dive.
- The collection features varsity jackets, sweaters, logo tops, athleisure sets, hats, socks, tote bags and other items. It ranges in size from XS to 4X for women, S to XXL for men and 5/6 to 13/14 for children, the company said.
- The collection is priced between $8.99 and $100 and will be available in select Forever 21 stores, on the Forever 21 mobile app and on its website. Brand management company Authentic Brands Group owns both Forever 21 and Reebok.

The limited-edition capsule marks Forever 21’s first co-designed fashion collection with Reebok.
“We at Forever 21 have created the ultimate destination for back-to-school fashion, and this year we’re excited to partner with Reebok for our first-ever collaboration with this iconic brand,” Winnie Park, CEO of Forever 21, said in a statement regarding the partnership. “We have an amazing line in stores and online that includes women’s, men’s and kids across apparel and accessories.”
Besides its partnership with its portfolio-mate Forever 21, Reebok teamed up with another major retailer this year: Macy’s. In March, Reebok announced plans to offer more of its products in select Macy’s stores, online and on the Macy’s mobile app as part of an expanded partnership between the two companies. The brand introduced a collection of sportswear and activewear for men and women priced between $25 and $85.
In another Authentic Brands Group partnership between two companies in its portfolio, Sports Illustrated and J.C. Penney have worked together on apparel collaborations: This year the companies created created two swimwear collections. Authentic Brands Group bought the Sports Illustrated brand in 2019 and later acquired a nearly 17% stake in the department store.
Meanwhile, Authentic Brands has made more acquisition deals in recent months. The company announced plans to buy Boardriders in late March, which oversees lifestyle and sports brands like Billabong, Roxy and DC Shoes. A month later, Vince Holding Corp. agreed to sell its intellectual property to Authentic Brands Group. Last month, the company bought Hunter Boot Limited, a U.K.-based footwear brand, for an undisclosed sum.
