• Ebay confirmed Wednesday a hack attack that occurred between late February and early March led to client identity information being accessed, including name, encrypted password, email address and date of birth.
• On a posting on its site, the company urged users to change their passwords.
• EBay did not notice a problem until about two weeks ago, when the company says it started investigating issues with employee login credentials.

The company said it is working with law enforcement and security experts to investigate the hack, which so far excludes the access of consumers' financial data.
