Dive Brief:
- Tervis has appointed Hosana Fieber as its new CEO effective immediately, according to a Tuesday press release. She is responsible for running day-to-day operations, creating a strategic plan and ensuring success for all of Tervis’ business goals.
- Fieber succeeds Rogan Donelly, who is transitioning into an executive chairman of the board position. Donelly served in the chief role since December 2020.
- Fieber first joined Tervis in 2009 and later rejoined the company, previously serving as chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Tervis. The company’s executive switch has no impact on the Donelly family ownership of Tervis and “comes as a result of the business being poised to enter a significant growth phase,” per the release.
Dive Insight:
Fieber takes on the top spot at Tervis as the brand looks toward growth.
“With such promising growth on the horizon for our brand, there is really no better time than now to have Hosana take the reins as Tervis’ new CEO,” Donelly said in a statement. “Hosana has an unwavering commitment to our family business and her goals are very closely aligned with ours. We are looking forward to her continuing the success of our brand.”
Donelly is a third-generation owner of Tervis and became president in 2016 before being named CEO in 2020. As executive chairman of the board, he is responsible for making higher-level decisions for Tervis, monitoring its strategic plan, philanthropy and more. Tervis’ board has seven members, of which four are part of the Donelly family.
Founded in 1946, Tervis sells a selection of drinkware products including travel tumblers, mugs and more. The brand also sells branded products from names such as Harry Potter, Star Wars, a variety of sports teams and more.
Tervis joins a growing list of companies that have recently tapped new chief executive officers. Tupperware and Olaplex both named new CEOs earlier this month after months of financial obstacles. Additionally, Brooklinen, UrbanStems, Tommy John, SpoiledChild, Happy Socks and Grove Collaborative all named new chief executives earlier this year.
