“Many customers told us they wanted GloveBox to be made available for Android and we were happy to listen,” Mr. Weaver said. “We want to serve all our existing customers that use a mobile device and make it easy for prospective customers to a get a quote, too.
“All of our apps are free and features, such as Accident Helper can be used by anyone, whether they are a GEICO policyholder or not,” he said. “Our goal is to create applications that are easy to use and meet our customer’s needs wherever, whenever, and however they choose to do business with us.”

“We wanted to take our GloveBox app and enhance it to take full advantage of the larger iPad screen,” Mr. Weaver said. “Policyholders can now pay bills, receive help and advice when involved in an accident, and much more using the enhanced application.
“The popularity of the iPad provides us another avenue to make things easy for our customers and to provide them with convenient access to their policies or a free rate quote,” he said. “GEICO is the first auto insurer to release a mobile app specifically for the iPad.
“We believe the Glovebox for iPad app provides us with a strong foundation for the next wave of tablet devices.”
