Century 21 streamlines mobile research globally with responsive update

Century 21 Real Estate is streamlining mobile research for homebuyers around the world with a newly responsive Web site that provides a more convenient experience for browsing properties.

Mobile users on century21global.com can search for a wide range of homes to purchase with ease now that the real estate site has gone responsive. The update is meant to appeal to a wide range of shoppers by creating an optimized experience for every kind of device, but also providing custom language formatting.

“Digital devices dominate across all generations, and that holds true for consumers around the world,” said Cara Whitley, chief marketing officer at Century 21 Real Estate LLC. “We want global consumers to have the best experience possible with our Web offerings and this is one in a series of enhancements we made to the site to accomplish just that.”

Mobile connection
The real estate brand is connecting homebuyers all over the world to Century 21 agents in their areas of interest. The newly updated Web site is streamlined for a much wider range of users, no matter what language they speak or type of device with which they are searching.

Users on mobile devices have a much more optimized search experience now, with little load time and an easy-to-see interface. Images have been updated as well, so that users can view larger versions of pictures of homes and properties for sale.

To view a pop-up screen of the images, users just need to tap the image and scroll right or left to view more. When searching in a particular area, results will now also include surrounding cities, including the metropolitan area, for a wider range of choices.

Each listing now includes the sales associate connected to the particular property. Emails sent to the associate through the Web site will automatically update to the language of the region in which the office is located.

Emails to customers will be sent in the language used by consumers.

Hebrew, Arabic and Urdu are the most recent languages to have been added to the global site.

Responsive to consumers
Century 21’s use of text overlays and a strong call-to-action for a recent mobile native video campaign resonated with more than 25,000 video views at a cost of $0.02 per view after the first five days (see more).

ESPN’s similarly re-launched its Web site with responsive design to mark its 20th anniversary reflects the sports network’s embrace of a mobile-first approach that aims to deliver a consistent, personal experience for highly engaged fans (see more).

“It is yet another way we are proving to the world that the 101,000 sales associates in the Century 21 System are truly smarter, bolder, faster and consumer-centric in their approach to building long-term relationships with home buyers and sellers,” Ms. Whitley said. “Consumers today know ‘what they want and how they want it’ and they deserve excellence from their real estate company of choice whether they walk through the door of a C21 Office, or visit us online.”
