OnQ, the retail industry’s leading provider of engaging, tech-enabled, secure retail displays and experiences, today announced key leadership appointments to accelerate the company’s growth path as it delivers innovative retail merchandising solutions for its clients.
The executive restructuring announced today elevates Kevin Delahunty - who joined the company just a year and a half ago to lead the sales team - to the role of President & Chief Operating Officer.
“We initially brought Kevin aboard to build and scale the sales team, but it was quickly apparent that the value he brings to OnQ extends well beyond this narrow scope,” said OnQ founder and CEO Paul Chapuis. “His operational expertise in helping organizations of our size scale in a sustainable way is exactly what OnQ needs today, and we’re delighted that Kevin is taking on the President & COO role. This company’s best days are still ahead, and we expect Kevin will be instrumental in helping us get there.”
With Delahunty assuming day-to-day operational responsibilities, OnQ founder and CEO Paul Chapuis will focus on defining the strategic vision of the company and helping OnQ’s customers solve their most complex challenges at retail. Additionally, Chapuis will serve as an ambassador for the company, collaborate with other leaders in the retail space, and evangelize the OnQ brand at key industry forums and events.
“I’ve always considered myself a retail futurist. It’s what led me to start OnQ nearly two decades ago, and it’s what still drives me today as I think about how this company can help catalyze meaningful change in the retail space in the years ahead. In this stage of OnQ’s lifecycle, the company needs precisely the sort of operational leadership Kevin brings to the table, coupled with the visionary leadership I’m so passionate about. Together we will help usher OnQ into its next phase of growth,” added Chapuis.
In parallel to Delahunty’s appointment to President & COO, existing members of OnQ’s leadership team Pauline Prideaux and Gus Sharrock will assume new roles within the organization.
As VP of Product, Prideaux will be instrumental to customer success, helping OnQ’s new clients identify their true retail pain points and working closely with OnQ’s project managers, design, technology and engineering personnel to create merchandising solutions that overcome those challenges and create better in-store experiences for their customers. She brings to the role the rare ability to quickly get to the root of a client’s needs and help them envision the best solution to address those needs. Prideaux’s team then ushers the entire process through the organization, creating a client experience that is seamless and efficient, delivering a finished product that perfectly matches the original design intent - an advantage of working with OnQ that simply can’t be replicated elsewhere in the industry.
Gus Sharrock will relocate to the Chicago area where he will be responsible for maintaining quality at the source, setting new standards across key project development milestones and assuring successful execution at the point of delivery. Gus will also be directly responsible for identifying and qualifying new critical supply chain partners and holding them accountable to OnQ’s exacting standards to ensure flawless fit and finish to every project.
In aggregate, the trio of personnel moves announced today ensure OnQ is poised to scale quickly as new growth opportunities arise, and efficiently deliver innovative new merchandising solutions to help its clients win at retail.
