Berlin

mybudapester.com, retailer for designer shoes, bags and accessories, looks back with satisfaction on a successful year 2017: ten million euros annual turnover, internationalization of the shop for Great Britain, the USA, Poland and Switzerland as well as an investment in the seven-digit range brought the Berlin based start-up on the road to success two years after foundation. In this year mybudapester.com plans a conversion of 25 million euro, the complete binding of international stationary dealers as well as further co-operation with considerable offerers from the luxury segment.
International growth as a significant goal for 2018
With the international market launch of the online shop mybudapester.com opens up for trendsetters and fashion lovers all over the world. The great advantage of the luxury platform is that customers can be sure to receive genuine brand products instead of plagiarism or fakes.
“In the coming years we will conquer the international markets with considerable and attention-strong cooperation“, says Matthias Nebus, co-founder of mybudapester.com.
Plans for connecting international stationary retailers
What is already working successfully in Germany is also to be implemented internationally:
mybudapester.com continues to strategically expand its retail business this year. Stationary luxury shoe retailers offer their assortment directly on the platform of the Berlin based ASLuxury budapester.com GmbH. For this purpose, an individual shop is set up for the respective partner, the order is placed directly via the respective retailer. There is no fee, the costs will be covered by a sales commission.
"Not each stationary retailer has the time or also the possibility to set up and operate an online shop“, justifies Matthias Nebus, co-founder of mybudapester.com, this strategic adjustment. "We expect this to be a win-win situation for both sides. The retail trade will be strengthened, the stationary retailers will have more reach and customers and we can expand our product range significantly". Up to 15 new German retailers will go online on mybudapester.com this year. International dealers are also to be connected towards the end of this year.
Expansion of cooperation with renowned designer brands
Since last year, the well-known watch brand Moritz Grossmann has been represented on the online platform with its watches from Glashütte. Another cooperation with the French luxury sunglasses manufacturer Vuarnet started at the end of February.
Brand development with own products and brand ambassadors
In order to advance the brand development of the platform, there will be own products from mybudapester.com for the first time this year. It starts with a limited edition watch. The Berlin-based company also relies on cooperation with well-known personalities from film and television such as Ralf Moeller and Erdal Yildiz, but also on cooperation with fashion influencers such as Xeniaoverdose and Janine Wiggert. Even Tim Raue, one of the world's leading Michelin-star chefs, has already been won over to work with the brand.
Looking back to 2017
Last year the online shop got a new look, as well as new international websites for Great Britain, the USA, Poland and Switzerland. Luxury products are now shipped worldwide. Fashion label Gucci was added to the range, which now includes more than 100 international luxury brands with over 3500 products.
The seven-figure investment of an unnamed investor helped to expand mybudapester.com from a pure online shop to a platform for stationary retailers and designer brands worldwide.
