Dive Insight:
The upcoming rebrand and rollout of the MyLowe’s Home platform is part of the retailer’s efforts to bolster its tech offerings.
“The company aims to enhance the homeowner experience in the new year through cutting-edge technology and AI,” the retailer wrote in its post regarding the endeavor. The original Lowe’s Digital Home Platform first launched in November as a way for loyalty members to manage and maintain their home’s maintenance needs.
The platform is accessible to rewards members via the company’s MyLowe’s Rewards program, which was first introduced in January 2024. The free program is a way for customers to engage with a number of perks and benefits.
In addition to releasing tech tools for everyday DIY customers, Lowe’s has also developed digital resources catered to its professional clientele. In April 2023, the company debuted Lowe’s MVP Business Tools, a digital hub where pros can re-order frequently purchased products, track their orders and receive supply quotes online.
In the company’s latest earnings, net sales dipped 1.5% year over year to $20.2 billion with comps down 1.1%. However, online comps rose 6% year over year for Q3. Strength in e-commerce and pro sales offset softness in DIY demand.
