Dive Insight:
Target just raised the delivery bar a few inches higher with this new announcement, topping many traditional retailers and even Amazon with its threshold.
Jason Goldberger, president of Target.com, said in a statement that the retailer saw an "enthusiastic response" to its free shipping offer over the holidays, one that Target is most likely trying to replicate with this most recent move. The statement also credited Target's increased ship-from-store implementation for faster shipping times and improved inventory management.
